42 degrees south of the Equator, we call New Zealand home: two islands surrounded by water that have evolved over millions of years to form a unique ecosystem, rich in skin-enhancing ingredients.
Enveloped by trees, oxygen-rich and bursting with thousands of unique plant species found nowhere else on Earth – these water-drenched forests are the backdrop to our New Zealand skincare products.
Our low-density population is surrounded by vast regions of untouched terrain. This means that our air is pure, our rainfall is clean, and our plants are thriving. From this flora we carefully extract nutrient-dense ingredients for our world-class formulations.
A unique curation of natural ingredients and innovative natural compounds
Our trailblazing formulations set us apart from other skincare brands. We combine lush New Zealand botanicals with innovative and high-tech bioactives from around the globe to create our high-performance skincare formulations.
Whilst many natural skincare brands use ‘nature identical’ ingredients – which simply means ‘synthetic’ – we always search for nature-sourced solution for every aspect of our formulation.
Unlike skincare brands that add organic ingredients into a synthetic formulation and declare the product ‘organic’ – our organic formulations are audited against the strict criteria of Biogro, the Pacific’s largest certifier of organic produce and products.
Even our incredible fragrances are from nature – we use components of essential oils (fractions and molecules of citrus). These are either COSMOS-certified, organic certified, or 100% natural origin, and included at very low, safe levels.
Manuka honey
For hundreds of years, manuka honey been revered by Māori for its healing properties. Unique to New Zealand, this world-famous superfood contains a wellspring of qualities that benefit health and skin. Manuka honey hydrates, moisturises, nourishes, rejuvenates, and restores skin’s natural glow. It is not like other honeys. Manuka honey is globally researched for its potential antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties– making it an essential cruelty-free skincare ingredient to promote healthy-looking skin.
Our manuka honey is collected by bees from the flowers of the manuka tree, which grows in remote terrain throughout New Zealand. Our honey is sourced sustainably by our responsible partners, who are based just several hours from Antipodes HQ and known for their integrity-based approach.
Vinanza® Grape
Scientists discovered that the seeds of sauvignon blanc grapes grown on New Zealand’s world-renowned Marlborough vineyards have up to double the levels of polyphenolic antioxidants of grapes grown anywhere else in the world. Antioxidants are essential skincare ingredients to help counter free radical damage caused by pollution and UV exposure.
Carefully sourced from sustainable, pollution-free vineyards, these grape seeds along with other New Zealand-grown superfruit such as kiwi, boysenberries and blackcurrants, come together in the revolutionary Vinanza® range.
This range has been proven to help improve elasticity and firmness in the skin, reduce redness and inflammation, brighten skin, fade age spots, and reduce free radicals that can damage your skin’s surface.*

Our organic skincare formulations are independently certified by BioGro New Zealand, the Pacific’s largest certifier of organic produce and products. The entire Antipodes skincare range is natural-origin, but to meet BioGro’s strict standards, our organic skincare products contain at least 70% organic ingredients. We partner with suppliers who use sustainable practices, including organic and biodiverse farming methods.
Certified vegan
Antipodes’ vegan skincare products are free from animal-derived products including manuka honey. They are independently certified by the UK Vegetarian Society (VegSoc), the oldest and most recognised vegetarian organisation in the world. Our vegan skincare is free from animal testing, free from animal ingredients or by-products, free from genetically modified organisms, and free from cross-contamination during the production process.
